Creating harmony in your life

Finding a way to handle life’s stressful situations will positively affect your
physical, spiritual, and mental health.

The following habits will help you bring about a harmonious lifestyle:

Listen to your body for signs of stress.
Problems in your life will exhibit physical symptoms.  This should tell you its
time to make a positive change.

Have an optimistic Attitude.
This may take some practice.  Replace negative thoughts with positive
thoughts.  This is not always easy.  Start small.  Catch one thought at a
time.  For example, if every morning you get up, look in a mirror and say,
“Wow, I look terrible!” you will feel terrible.  Instead pick out something good
about yourself.  Something you like, say your eyes, and say instead “Wow, I
look great!”, it will become a habit and you’ll feel much better.

Be grateful.
Just think of the good things you have in your life.  List three or more, every
day, and be thankful.  This is very important.  In everyone’s life, some bad
things happen.  If we look at all the good, we will reach a state of balance.

Practice kindness.
One kind, thoughtful act a day goes a long way towards making yourself
and countless others feel better.  If you think something good about
someone, tell them!  If you can, open a door for someone.  Let someone
else go first.  Give something away that you no longer need, to someone
who could use it.
